"NGOs of the World, Unite!": How did we connect NGOs all around the world to donors and companies?
Wanting to expand their reach, they contacted us to help create a list of NGOs around the world with whom they could collaborate in the future. They wanted to go global and we gave them tools to do it.
Overview
This is the story of a well-known American nonprofit that supports other nonprofits by connecting them to donors and companies. Previously, our client had collaborations with many NGOs across the USA but their network stopped at the border. Wanting to expand their reach, they contacted us to help create a list of NGOs around the world with whom they could collaborate in the future. They wanted to go global and we gave them tools to do it.
At epctex, we came up with a solution that involved multiple stages. Every step of the work used data harvesting techniques at the level of their industry, but the most important component was how we gathered, clarified, and manipulated the data for our client’s specific needs. This is our RPA solution. By investigating 64 different countries and their government websites, we were able to compile a huge list of charities that contains both accredited and non-accredited NGOs.
At our customer’s request we needed to narrow down the list to only accredited NGOs, so we filtered the data to only show what was needed. With the hard work of our team, this filter was created by finding legitimate sources in each country. By the end, we had a clean list of accredited NGOs for our client.
This process enabled our client to help community-led organizations all around the world access the tools, training, and support they need to make the world a better place.

The solution we came up with had multiple steps that used industry-level data harvesting techniques. By applying our bespoke filters while clarifying and manipulating the data, our clients only received the information that was relevant to their mission.
The first step to our solution was to retrieve information about the sources. At our client’s request, all NGO data must be legitimate and all the companies should be accredited. Our RPA solution was created by scanning and analyzing government websites that contain information about NGOs in their country. After investigating 64 different countries and their government websites, we came up with a huge list of both accredited and non-accredited NGOs.
The second step was to narrow the list down to only accredited NGOs at our client’s request. This was the hardest part of the project because we needed to verify the accreditation with multiple sources. For every country we worked on, we needed to find a way that parsed information from government websites to see whether an NGO is accredited. With the hard work of our team, we created a system that could find the proper sources for each country. The data got filtered and we could deliver a clean list of accredited NGOs to our client.
With epctex’s end-to-end solution, our client successfully retrieved all the data that they were looking for. Accessing this data not only supported their success in the market but also helped them to expand globally and to help their fellow NGOs. The solution we provided not only helped one charity but thousands of others around the world.
